CLASSROOM GRANTS

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences – Upper Midwest Chapter/Foundation is offering Classroom Grant Opportunities to help make students’ academic achievement dreams come true.

Submit all applications by Monday February 1st, 2021.

The Upper Midwest Emmy Chapter/Foundation School Grant Mission:

To enhance the learning experience of media students in our chapter region’s secondary and/or post-secondary 501(c)(3) educational organizations by acquiring and distributing resources related to video production, television, and/or broadcast journalism.

ELIGIBILITY

Schools which have received grants within the past 4 years are not eligible to apply this year.

GRant In Action

If grant funds are awarded, the Upper Midwest Emmy^® Foundation will request the opportunity to come into the classroom to see the grant in action, take photos and talk to students (where applicable) about their experience with the grant. If funded, we will ask you to please send us images (with full media clearance) of your grant in action.

Classroom Grants are given for projects that directly address students’ needs. Briefly describe the demographics of your student population and how this grant will address specific learning needs.

Detailed listing of what primarily non-consumable Items will be purchased (include shipping costs). (Some consumable items and training are allowable, if they are needed to use the new equipment. Make sure you have a sustainable budget for any consumables in your building/district monies, as well.)
