The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences– Upper Midwest Chapter is excited to bring its “Emmys on the Road” workshop series to GTN 16 Studios in White Bear Lake, MN on Saturday April 23rd, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m .
This workshop will help video production professionals in Government, Public and Educational Access understand new changes to our regional Emmy Awards and will provide direction on what stories and programs to enter as well as information on how to enter the competition.
This workshop is FREE and open to all media professionals and students in the Twin Cities and surrounding PEG access markets.

What can you expect? Our workshop presenters will show Award-Winning stories and talk about the creative process and execution of a story from concept to completion. You’ll learn about some best practices for story construction, personalization and shooting and editing techniques that will spark your own creativity so you can take your stories to a new level.
Emmy winner Judy Skeie-Voss from GTN / On Location Production Services – Ramsey/Washington Suburban Cable Commission. Judy is also a member of the NATAS-Upper Midwest Board of Governors.
You will also get specific instructions on how easy the process is put your work into consideration for an Emmy Award.
Feeling brave? We will also have time in our workshop where audience members can show a story of their most recent work. This unique critiquing session allows for everyone to share their feedback on the stories and learn from each other in casual and friendly environment.
