When the clock strikes midnight, Sarah Rudlang is up and at em’ producing and anchoring the morning newscast at WDAY-TV in Fargo, ND.

She’s an anchor on an Upper Midwest Emmy® award-winning morning newscast and a journalist who began her career at a quaint newspaper in Pequot Lakes, MN. Sarah then worked in Minneapolis at WCCO-TV as an assignment editor.

In 2017, Sarah joined the WDAY team as a reporter and Saturday morning anchor. She’s known for covering the tragic news about Savanna Greywind – a young Native American mother-to-be, who was murdered and her baby cut from her womb.

Sarah continued to report on several other stories that went national, before being promoted to anchoring full-time on the morning show. Since then, viewership on WDAY’s First News has jumped 44%.

Sarah graduated from St. Cloud State University, where she wore many hats. She was the News Director at UTVS (the university’s award-winning news station), News Editor at The University Chronicle and President of SPJ (Society of Professional Journalists).

She’s a small town gal, born and raised in Pine River, MN. Sarah loves covering news from her home state!
