The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences – Upper Midwest Chapter/Foundation will announce its nominees for the 2018 Upper Midwest Student Television Awards on Monday March 12th.

This year, we received more than 175 entries from high schools and colleges/universities from across our region!

Join us on Friday April 13th, 2018 at the Crowne Plaza AiRE MSP Airport/Mall of America for the 2018 NATAS – Upper Midwest Student Television Awards!  This ceremony recognizes excellence in media production for high School & college/university students within the NATAS – Upper Midwest region. (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa & western Wisconsin.)

RSVPs for the event go on sale Friday March 12th.

Diana Pierce – Multimedia Journalist, 2017 Upper Midwest Emmy® Silver Circle Honoree and former longtime Anchor at KARE-TV.

Carla Beaurline – Around Town Media, LLC Twin Cities

The hosts for this year’s NATAS-Upper Midwest Regional Student Production Awards are Diana Pierce former Anchor at KARE-TV and Carla Beaurline CEO and Talent for Around Town Media in the Twin Cities.

 

 

Schedule of events:  

  • Electronic check-in at the door.  Bring email copy of your RSVP as in case of questions.
  • 5:00pm-6:45pm: Networking with local professionals & Step-n-Repeat photo walls
  • 6:45pm- Doors open to ceremony room with food stations. (NOT A BUFFET) please be courteous with your portions)
  • 7:30pm – 9:30pm Awards ceremony.
  • Dress is semi formal/business. Women usually wear dresses, guys wear shirts & ties.  Jackets not required.

MIDWEST JOURNALISM CONFERENCE

While in town for the Student Production Awards, take advantage of attending the 2018 Midwest Journalism Conference.

Sessions are Friday & Saturday April 13th & 14th at the Crowne Plaza AiRE Hotel in Bloomington.
