Our corporate partner, Slumberland, is all about making lives better. To honor the spirit of both organizations, we created the Slumberland “Making a Difference” Award.
Television & video has the power with one story to change one life. That’s why many of us got into the industry. This award honors the measurable changing of someone’s life or lives in our communities with one piece of video storytelling. Nominations are accepted from the performing, creative, technical or administrative roles within the industry. Neither nominators nor nominees need to be members of NATAS. This is a very special plaque award recipients will receive at the 2012 Upper Midwest Regional Emmy® Gala on September 29th, 2012.

Twin Cities Public Television & Twin Cities Medical Society Partnership
“Honoring Choices Minnesota” is an effort of the Twin Cities Medical Society and its Foundation to encourage families and communities to have discussions regarding end-of-life care choices. Twin Cities Public Television is supporting “Honoring Choices Minnesota” with efforts to reach and engage Minnesota citizens in this effort. Honoring Choices Minnesota uses the training, principles and methodology of Respecting Choices ®, a nationally recognized model of Gundersen Lutheran Health System in La Crosse, WI. What makes HCM unique is our Minnesota-specific governance, customized forms, patient education materials, and Minnesota family stories.
The Twin Cities Medical Society (TCMS) is a membership organization representing over 5,000 practicing physicians, resident physicians and medical students in the seven-county metro area. TCMS exists to connect, represent and engage physicians in improving the practice of medicine, policy development and public health initiatives. Honoring Choices Minnesota has been a key project since 2008.
